I have education in web development and design, and graphic design, and work experience with graphics and web sites.

I enjoy creating and updating websites, and specialize in sites and graphic design services for small businesses, nonprofits, and individuals. I think great websites are equal parts content, functionality, and design, brought together with a unique brand and voice.

The inspiration for the name Paintbox Web Design comes from the paintboxes of the past. By the 1800s, paint technology transitioned from artists grinding, mixing, and storing their own pigments to commercially produced paints sold in blocks and tubes, for use in a portable box, called a paintbox. This shift forever changed painting and was pivotal in the impressionism art movement.

In our modern era of technology, we have transitioned to choosing color on screens, with pixels, hex color, color wheels, and codes and numbers for color. Our "paintboxes" are often now virtual with tools such as color pickers, brushes, and droppers.

Web design has advanced greatly in the past decade, and stunning and effective websites are essential. I like the process of working with others to create wonderful, unique, and user-friendly websites.
